Prince Harry and his wife Meghan advertised the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf. The Duchess’s summery, casual outfit caught the eye, because off-the-shoulder is actually forbidden for royals.
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan were totally relaxed yesterday in Düsseldorf on their promotional tour for the Invictus Games. They shook hands, posed for selfies and talked to people.

She wore a strapless top with a halterneck collar. With the top, she violated royal dress codes. A Windsor is forbidden from showing so much bare skin.

Prince Harry sees soldiers as role models
Britain’s Prince Harry promises “unforgettable moments” at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf next year. Together with his wife Meghan, Queen Elizabeth’s grandson visited the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia on Tuesday, which plans to host the sports festival for war-disabled athletes in September 2023.
“I’m extremely impressed with everything I’ve seen so far,” Harry praised the preparations at a press conference in the Merkur Spiel-Arena, where most of the competitions are to be held.
Harry detailed the achievements of the soldiers who gave so much to defend democracy and civil liberties. “They are my role models,” said Harry. And that’s why these athletes deserved to be celebrated like great football stars. “The games are for them.”

The official program of the duchess and duke started in the town hall: both signed the city’s golden book, were received by prominent guests, and Harry gave a short speech. Afterwards, the two took a lot of time for the waiting fans, talked to the people, shook hands and gave autographs. “Meghan took my flowers and even asked my name,” said Alina, 24, from Ratingen.
The Invictus Games is an affair of the heart for the prince and dates in this context are one of the few occasions on which he and his wife still make public appearances.
